Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place—and out of place at the same time. One more problem: I am seriously falling for one of them ...but what if he's the killer? Verdict: This was a really good book that I thoroughly enjoyed!!! My only objection was to the lack of a sequel. But other than that, this was a really awesome and fast-paced read that had me guessing the whole time!!! Rating: 4.5/5 Stars (I usually don't do .5 as a rating, but a 4 was too low and 5 seemed a bit too high........ so I was stuck in the middle.) -KWB

Review for Fallen by Lauren Kate

Image
Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate Synopsis: There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her. Verdict: I loved this book! It took me a while to finish, because it was slow going at first and I kept setting it down to read other books. But by the end of this novel, I was hooked! I will definitely be reading the sequel: Torment! Rating: 4/5 Stars -KWB
