Synopsis: Tory Brennan, niece of acclaimed forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (of the Bones novels and hit TV show), is the leader of a ragtag band of teenage "sci-philes" who live on a secluded island off the coast of South Carolina. When the group rescues a dog caged for medical testing on a nearby island, they are exposed to an experimental strain of canine parvovirus that changes their lives forever.

As the friends discover their heightened senses and animal-quick reflexes, they must combine their scientific curiosity with their newfound physical gifts to solve a cold-case murder that has suddenly become very hot if they can stay alive long enough to catch the killer's scent.

Fortunately, they are now more than friends they're a pack. They are Virals.

Verdict: I loved this book!!! It was so fast-paced and full of awesome that I whipped through 448 pages in three days. I could barely put it down!!! I will definitely be the first one in line to buy the sequel when it comes out!!! Plus if you are a fan of the T.V. series Bones, then you will definitely want to check this book out!!! The only real qualm I had with it was a lack of any kind of romance, but I'm hoping that something will develop in the sequel.  :))

    You know, I really just didn't enjoy Virals. It didn't stand out to me as anything phenomenal. It's good, but I didn't think it was great. Good review, though!
