Eighteen year old Bach, from a race known as The Family, has no interest in human affairs. He was sent here to complete his Great Walk and return home as a man—as a Sen Son. The Family regard humans as Dirt People, but Bach is drawn to this Terran girl, whom he has never seen before, but somehow knows.
Hunted by flesh eaters, cannibals, and the mysterious blood thirsty group called Red Phoenix, Wisteria and Bach make their way back to the Isle of Smythe, a community built on secrets and lies.
About the Author: Bisi Leyton was born in East London in 1978. She grew up in London, Nigeria and the States, listening to the stories life and love from aunts, cousins and big sisters. She lives in London, but has worked around Europe including France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium and the Czech Republic. She has a fondness for reading graphic novels, and cracked.com.

First off, I'd like to thank you for joining me on the blog today!
1. Describe Wisteria as a tweet (140 characters or less)!
Ordinary girl, extraordinary destiny2. If you could re-title Wisteria what would you call it and why?
The Isle of Smythe because the story is also about the life of the survivors in this community. The townspeople are twisted and self-serving as long as it helps the community. The leadership are more than willing to kill anyone who might threaten their safety.3. What inspired you to start writing?
I enjoyed reading teen fiction like Nancy Drew and Sweet Valley High until I released the stories were a bit tame and also never reflected my school experiences and diversity. I wasn’t the most popular, smartest prettiest or socially confident kid, and those people didn’t exist in those books. As a result, I started writing my own stories and drawing comic books when I was twelve.4. What kind of research, if any, did you do for Wisteria?
It was hard to know how much research to do for a zombie book. I was careful not to read a lot of other books in the genre as I didn’t want it to affect my vision or my ideas. However I visited a lot of survivalist blogs and zombie apocalyptic sites. I researched quite a bit of fairy lore when I designed the Family, and if you’re a really into fairies you’ll be able to spot certain aspects in my book.6. Do you have a specific place where you write?
Wherever possible, I love to write outdoors. When I’m visiting my mother, I sit in her gazebo and at home I sit on my balcony in good weather.7. What are you reading right now?
I’m beta reading an interracial romance novel, that I can’t name right now. It’s turning out to be a pretty good book.This or That...
