About the Author: Janeal Falor lives in Utah where she’s finally managed to live in the same house for more than five years without moving. In her spare time she reads books like they’re nuts covered in caramel and chocolate, cooks whatever strikes her fancy, and enjoys the outdoors. Her husband and three children try to keep up with her overactive imagination. Usually they settle for having dinner on the table, even if she’s still going on about the voices in her head.

First off, I'd like to thank you for joining me on the blog today!

1. Describe You Are Mine as a tweet (140 characters or less)!
This always such a hard question. For some reason I find it much easier to write an entire novel, then a little tweet but we'll give it a go.

Serena knows she will always be owned and only good for the magic within her blood. Until she's won by a barbarian and takes a chance to think for herself.

(also, I cheated. It's longer. Books = easy(ish). Tweets = hard.)

2. If you could re-title You Are Mine what would you call it and why?
Wow, an even harder. You Are Mine fits so well, I honestly can't think of anything else.

3. How did you come up with the idea for You Are Mine?
Feb. 2012 I was reading a lot of marrying for money type books and enjoying them. But then I thought; What if these girls weren't marrying for money? What if they were marrying for something of great value? Something they had, but couldn't control like...Magic!

4. What kind of research, if any, did you do for You Are Mine?
I did tons and tons of research. A few things I researched were late 18th century/early 19th century technology, growing seasons for plants (which is funny because I didn't really need it for the way food was used in the book), and lots of info about tattoos. Sad part is, I don't remember hardly any of it. Thank goodness for notes!

5. Do you have a specific place where you write?
Usually on my couch or at the park. Don't know what I'd do without a laptop!

6. What are you reading right now?
I just finished Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. So fantastic! Hopefully I'll have time to pick up another book soon, but haven’t decided what yet.

And just for fun- What is the strangest thing on your desk right now?
I don't use a desk. The closest thing is the horrendous pile by my bed. It's the work related catch all. The strangest thing there is probably the clapping hands. No clue why they are always there. My kids enjoy playing with them every chance they get though. Guess some good comes out of the scary pile.
