Check out Emblazon: A New Tween Blog

Image
A wise person once said, “Write your name on the heart of a child.” We hope to emblazon our stories there. Emblazon is a collection of authors–some indie, some traditionally published–who have each produced at least one children’s novel. Our audiences range from fifth grade to young adult, but we have a particular focus on ages 11 to 14. Some call them upper middle grade; others call them low young adult. They’re somewhere in the middle and can lean either way. We call them Tweens. The first three Wednesdays of every month, we post about some aspect of reading and writing tween literature. We hope our experiences help you to emblazon your own story. The fourth Wednesday is your turn. That’s when we host a monthly feature called Tween the Weekends . We hope you’ll join us on this adventure! Emblazon launches its first post on July 10. We also have an upcoming Sizzling Freebies bash that will be hosted on August 1 during which a great selection of ebooks will be free for one day only

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Day 1

Image
Hello my lovely bloggy followers! I have decided to do something fun this summer and participate in Good Books and Good Wine 's 15 Day Book Blogger Challenge so that you lovely people can get to know me better!  :)) Day 1: Make 15-book related confessions 1. Books are sacred! Thou shall not crease thy spine. Thou shall not dog-ear thy pages. Thou shall not buy any book that is not in pristine condition. 2. I don't like audio books. I think audio books are great for some people- but me, I like the actual act of reading . 3. Authors are my celebrities. Seriously. I would much rather meet Veronica Roth over Justin Bieber any day. 4. Sometimes I just sit and admire my bookshelf. Yeah, this might be slightly weird but books are just so pretty when they're sitting side-by-side on a shelf. 5. I don't own an e-reader. No, this isn't some protest against ebooks, because I love 'em! Trust me, I am absolutely dying to get my hands on a Kindle Fire! In the mean time, I have

Title: Anatomy of a Boyfriend Author: Daria Snadowsky Series: Anatomy, #1 Publisher: Random House Publication Date: January 9, 2007 Synopsis: Before this all happened, the closest I'd ever come to getting physical with a guy was playing the board game Operation. Okay, so maybe that sounds pathetic, but it's not like there were any guys at my high school who I cared to share more than three words with, let alone my body. Then I met Wes, a track star senior from across town. Maybe it was his soulful blue eyes, or maybe my hormones just started raging. Either way, I was hooked. And after a while, he was too. I couldn't believe how intense my feelings became, or the fact that I was seeing—and touching—parts of the body I'd only read about in my Gray's Anatomy textbook. You could say Wes and I experienced a lot of firsts together that spring. It was scary. It was fun. It was love. And then came the fall. Title: Anatomy of a Single Girl Author: Daria Snadowsky Ser
