15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Day 1

Hello my lovely bloggy followers! I have decided to do something fun this summer and participate in Good Books and Good Wine's 15 Day Book Blogger Challenge so that you lovely people can get to know me better!  :))

Day 1: Make 15-book related confessions

1. Books are sacred!
Thou shall not crease thy spine. Thou shall not dog-ear thy pages. Thou shall not buy any book that is not in pristine condition.

2. I don't like audio books.
I think audio books are great for some people- but me, I like the actual act of reading.

3. Authors are my celebrities.
Seriously. I would much rather meet Veronica Roth over Justin Bieber any day.

4. Sometimes I just sit and admire my bookshelf.
Yeah, this might be slightly weird but books are just so pretty when they're sitting side-by-side on a shelf.

5. I don't own an e-reader.
No, this isn't some protest against ebooks, because I love 'em! Trust me, I am absolutely dying to get my hands on a Kindle Fire! In the mean time, I have a Kindle app downloaded on my iPod Touch that I use.

6. Twilight is what rekindled my love for reading.
I've loved to read ever since I was a little girl. But for some reason around Middle School, I had tapered off on my reading. Then a friend let me borrow Twilight and I was once again reminded of everything I love about books!

7. I've only read the first Harry Potter book.
I know this is like a book sin! But when the first movie came out I was only 6 years old and hadn't even heard about the books yet. I've seen every single movie and consider myself a HUGE Potter nerd and promise that I will one day read the whole series.

8. I love Adult books.
This is a YA/NA book review blog, but I frequently read Adult books and will also occasionally review them on Goodreads.

9. I prefer Books-a-Million over Barnes & Noble.
Books-a-Million was the first actual all-book store I ever went to (and it was ahhh-mazing), so it holds a special place in my heart. Even if most people look at me like I'm crazy for not choosing the esteemed Barnes & Noble.

10. My love of books has influenced what job I'm going to pursue.
I love books and reading so flippin' much that I'm majoring in English with the hopes of one day working at a book publishing company.

11. If the book is free, I'll buy it.
There are tons of books on my Kindle app that I never would have otherwise bought if it hadn't been for the fact that it was free on Amazon.

12. I have A LOT of book boyfriends.
I wonder if this makes me some kind of book slut?  ;P

13. I don't always like the idea of a book I love getting turned into a movie.
When I love a book and have already got these great characters in my head, I get really apprehensive that the movie industry will just go and ruin it all! *cough* Twilight *cough*

14. I don't allow people to borrow my books.
I know book lovers are supposed to share the book-love by letting others borrow their books (I tell them to go to the library). But I am SUPER picky about how my books are treated and after having two really bad book-borrowing experiences, I quit.

15. I totally judge people who say that dislike reading.
I mean, have they even tried it? How do you dislike reading? It's a major part of everyday life! I usually just tell people that they haven't found the right genre that suits them yet.
